THE BAND
"Black Swan" is the fulfillment of the commun dream of these two co-founders, a mexican and a french-american, who contributed with their own style of music. Because of this "Black Swan" is a mix of music around the world that enable us to offer a repertoire of international music at a high level. They both think that music is the art of combining sounds of the human voice, instrument or of each other at a time, to create an effect that envelops. The purpose of "Black Swan" is to provoke an aesthetic experience for the listeners and express feelings, circumstances, thoughts and ideas.
"Black Swan" es la realización del sueño de estos dos fundadores: una mexicana y un francés-americano, que contribuyeron con su propio estilo de música. Debido a éste,"Black Swan" es una mezcla de música de todo el mundo, que nos permite ofrecer un repertorio de música internacional a un nivel alto. Ambos piensan que la música es el arte de combinar los sonidos de la voz humana, de los instrumento, que se unen para crear un efecto que envuelve. El propósito de "Black Swan" es provocar una experiencia estética para los oyentes y expresar sentimientos, circunstancias, pensamientos e ideas.
GABY
Gaby began her career since childhood in the Musical programs of ABC Internacional Radio and XEW Radio with the Announcer Hector Martinez Serrano singing Mexican music from ranchero to boleros, one of her specialties are the famous "huapangos" which she sings up to date with all her enthusiasm.
Later, she began her preparation in the Opera Studio "Angel R. Esquivel " with the teacher and singer Cristina Ortega in Mexico City. Gaby gave several concerts of Opera, Zarzuela and Musical Comedy in the" Sala Chopin" and several theaters in the city. She belonged also to the Opera Company, operetta and zarzuela she went out on tour in Mexico.
In the late 90’s, Gaby was the lead singer of the well-known, Manzanillo based band "Jonathan and His Band" and performed successfully at all the top local venues for close to a decade. It is only after a premature departure from the stage and a long absence from Manzanillo, that she decided to return to the spotlight and more importantly to herself and her singing roots. In January 2011, Gaby co-founded the band “In Focus” with a Californian guitar player, and Yann, a Parisian keyboard player who spent his adult life in the States. But after a couple of years Yann and Gaby decided to change the name of the Band to "Black Swan with Diamonds." While the young band is usually backed by Juanito, drummer extraordinaire. “Black Swan” has already seen its share of guitar players.
Now they are dedicated to creating great music and they really enjoy it.
GABY
Inició su carrera artística desde pequeña cantando en programas de la radio XEW y ABC Internacional con Héctor Martínez Serrano cantando música mexicana desde ranchera hasta boleros, siendo una de sus especialidades los famosos “huapangos” los cuales interpreta hasta a la fecha con mucho entusiasmo.
Posteriormente, inició su preparación en el estudio “Angel R. Esquivel” de Opera con la maestra y cantante Cristina Ortega en México, D.F., en donde dio varios conciertos de Opera, Comedias Musicales y Zarzuela en la “Sala Chopin” y varios teatros de la ciudad, perteneciendo también a la Compañía de Opera, opereta y zarzuela saliendo de gira dentro de la República Mexicana
A finales de los 90's Gaby fue la vocalista principal de uno de los mejores grupos de música versátil en Manzanillo “Jonathan and his Band” trabajando juntos por mas de una década. Es sólo que después de una salida prematura del escenario y una larga ausencia de Manzanillo, decidió regresar a los escenarios y lo más importante para ella a la música. En enero de 2011, Gaby co-funda la banda "In Focus" con un guitarrista californiano, y Yann, un tecladista parisino que pasó su vida adulta en los Estados Unidos. Pero después de un par de años, Yann y Gaby deciden cambiar el nombre de la banda a "Black Swan with Diamonds". Mientras tanto, "Blak Swan" suele ser respaldado por su extraordinario baterista "Juanito". "Black Swan" ha contado con varios guitarristas excelentes. Ahora, ellos se dedican a buena música y realmente lo disfrutan.
